@paralithode Important for me to remember too: I'm not the boss everyday. And even when I don't feel like I "deserve" to take time off, sometimes my body is more in charge than I am. Thank you for the reminder, and I hope tomorrow is better for you.

If anyone has a any resources/guides for learning Racket beside the official page of documentation (maybe even a YouTuber) I'm looking for some additional ones!
Went to a great "recycled" bookstore and found out they have cats, and it became 10x great 🐱
Hello Mastodon book friends! Really happy to be joining this community, and looking forward to discussing goodreads! Right now I'm reading Ancillary Justice and a collection of plays by Gogol. If you want send me a hello/intro and what you are reading as well feel free. 😊

Fun fact: if you've ever seen or heard a word repeated so often that it stops looking/sounding like a real word, you're not alone! That's called "semantic satiation", and we're pretty sure it's the same neural mechanism that, for example, lets you get used to cold water by dipping your toe in repeatedly; as your brain receives the signal repeatedly, your neurons lose their sensitivity to it.

Cool side note: deliberately triggering it has been proposed as a treatment for stuttering!
