@FuckOffGoogle Damn. 😞 This is a shame, especially as DuckDuckGo's image depends on the safety they can offer you from this sort of thing. I know DDG don't store certain data about their users - I wonder if that at least would protect users somewhat if anyone tries to use DDG's data. (Also, that's VERY alarming. Potentially any US-based company, wow.)

@FuckOffGoogle Hello, I've been wondering about this since your reply: why does being a centralised, US-based service make DuckDuckGo bad? I understand that centralisation can create a monopoly of power and thus disincentivise acting ethically. (If I understand your objection correctly?) Why is being US-based also a disadvantage? Because of how deregulated certain businesses are there?
