@Kelvikuri yes I read it from Kindle (it's available for free if you're an unlimited subscriber). Just saw the video. This is a very good novel I'll strongly recommend. Characterisations are really beautiful.
Finished Lakshmi Saravanakumar's Rooh last night. Lakshmi is a master story teller. Verbose to the right amount, this was a delightful reading experience. The only slight negative is that the story begins on a big macro canvass setting high expectations in the first half but slowly takes a shift into something more delicate and intimate (beautiful in its own way though). Ultimately it's a very good novel but ends up with the feeling that it could have been great.

@ionhandshaker @Kelvikuri I think the Sufi influence is through gana. Mugavari is another wonderful album (ignoring 2 blatantly plagiarised numbers) with that tone.Imho he is rightly credited for making gana mainstream in Tamil cinema but he has this street smart music sense which is very rare, that makes him tick in every form of music. Sadly very few see that.
Just when I was planning to cancel my spotify account, their auto-suggest seems to be bang-on
@Kelvikuri was very effective in the late 90s I think. Even did some solid back ground scores back then. Good old days :)

Happy piranthanaal to thalaivar Deva. Most underrated king of Tamil film music.
@Bayta @violetree yep yep
Done with 'Uthaa Skirt kathaigal'. For some reason I expected it to be a light, fairy-tale like short stories but ended up being much more heavier. At least 3 stories were truly international (for lack of better words).
