Incubating a humane dynamic medium.

In case you're curious, I'm tracking ~840 apps on the visionOS App Store, up by a hundred or so since Vision Pro hit retail
“The ‌iPhone 15 Pro‌ has Apple's second-generation Ultra Wideband chip, allowing other devices with the chip to connect from up to 3x as far away and friends that share their location with you to be located directionally like an AirTag.”
This could be incredibly useful when two blind people are trying to locate each other in a crouded/loud place. I've always wanted something like this.
Edit: This also applies to the iPhone 15. I just happened to read it in the article about the iPhone 15 pro.

@louie completely different vibe, but if you haven’t been there yet - go to the Starbucks Reserve Roastery near Naka-Meguro https://www.starbucks.co.jp/reserve/roastery/journey.html

The terrace on 3F is wonderful

@louie I genuinely, seriously want to!

I’ve loved your stuff for years and would love to work with you on building something “lickable”.

I’ve left my job recently and started refocusing on doing (and working on) things I truly want to, so I actually have time to commit.

@simsaens @czakka @stroughtonsmith if you install it now you’ll get the Early Access version. They’re targeting 6 Sept for the macOS release, but still to be confirmed
@simonbs I guess one thing I’m not sure about without checking in simulator is SpriteKit support. I thought SpriteKit was only supported on visionOS for apps in iPad compatibility mode (https://mastodon.social/@stroughtonsmith/110498588595015168), but the SDK docs for SpriteView do mention visionOS as being supported: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/spritekit/spriteview

A SwiftUI view that renders a SpriteKit scene.

@simonbs yeah should be able to:

use RealityView’s attachments to render a SwiftUI View that renders the game just above the console model’s screen

😕
