So happy that SwiftUI Previews are using the same objects made during build and run cycles. Should be way more consistent now 🤞
I feel like I’m in the minority here but whenever I get a message that’s very clearly AI written, I feel like my time is being disrespected by making me read these empty words. I don’t love that it’s now just baked into the system. Just tell me what I need to know. Wanna schedule a meeting? Cool. I don’t need to read three paragraphs of statistically likely junk.

Did your iOS 17 Simulators get deleted recently?

The macOS anti-malware system XProtect got an update a couple of days ago, XProtectPayload 132, it found a false positive in the simulator runtime disk image and so would try and eliminate it. An updated 133 is out, check for updates and it should download the security update.

I propose a day, once a quarter, where the team maintaining an open source project sits down with a new user and silently watches them try to compile it, using only the instructions on the website.
Idk man instead of constantly changing the rules in hospitals about whether or not masking is required and confusing the shit out of people why not just do the easy thing that protects patients and require them forever. Then nobody ever has to wonder or get confused. They can just be like "oh, going to the hospital, better bring a mask"

How about we just stop state executions like all of Europe except Belarus, the entire rest of the Americas, Australia, New Zealand, and the majority of Africa. States where the elected officials (seems to be mostly Republicans) want to keep executing people have to keep coming up with stranger ways and this is lousy company to be in.

Alabama wants to be the 1st state to execute a prisoner by making him breathe only nitrogen

Alabama is seeking to become the first state to execute a prisoner by making him breathe pure nitrogen. The Alabama attorney general’s office on Friday asked the state Supreme Court to set an execution date for Kenneth Eugene Smith using the new method of nitrogen hypoxia. For years the state has said it was working to develop the method. The disclosure that it is ready to use nitrogen hypoxia is expected to set off a new round of legal battles over the constitutionality of the method. A number of Alabama inmates seeking to block their executions by lethal injection, including Smith, have argued they should be allowed to die by nitrogen hypoxia.

The Supreme Court ruled in favor of a web designer who had never actually designed a website, for a man who was not LGBTQ and didn't even know his name was involved in a Supreme Court case, for a wedding that never existed, and a solicitation that was completely manufactured by a group of far right lawyers, I guess so they could make discrimination legal. A very legitimate court.
