@eta @hugh personally I don't really see the need for 5G over decent 4G, its really just more spectrally efficient for the carrier to operate. its about as exciting to the end user as the grid upgrading 275kV lines to 400kV.
What I really want as an end user is a consistent speed everywhere.

@hugh @eta same, well I switched to 1p about 2 years ago now, always thought MVNOs and PrePay were 2nd class citizens, but these days the “real" networks are mostly just brands and marketing anyway and everything is outsourced to Ericsson etc.
Got fed up with them fucking about with gimmicks and pricing, I just want someone to shift my bits to/from the internet, quickly cleanly and for a fair price then stay out of my life!

@eta @hugh as far as I can tell there's zero difference with the EE product, apart from no 5GSA at the moment (but EE don't give that on all plans either IIRC) You have an EE/BT public IP

@hugh I think part of what puts some people off is their branding, it comes across as a bit "low budget consumer” but its a rock solid product that just works with a clear simple proposition. They've been slowly evolving the website design in the last year or so to look a bit slicker.
