@rubenerd Does that get tiring after a point? Meaning it takes a lot of energy and self control to not react at the same level of the trolls...
Due to personal reasons, I will be rolling down a large hill

I still find myself going to Twitter more often than Fosstodon. It's because of an incredible little plugin called Twemex. I cannot imagine using Twitter without Twemex anymore. https://tweethunter.io/twemex

Is anyone building a Twemex equivalent for #mastodon?

@cydonian this was the one.

@cydonian My parents had to go through something like this many years ago with a baby before I was born. These things are unimaginable from what I understand.

I could barely keep myself composed when my twin girls were in NICU for two weeks soon after birth.

Glad to hear that you are somewhat in a better state. It's tough. 🙏

@cydonian I'm so sorry to hear this. 😢
You and your family please take care.

Saying a prayer of support and strength for you. 🙏

TBH though, Aus was by and large a chilled out and enjoyable place to live.

@harshad @[email protected] oh, and I did briefly live in Aus for 4.5 years in the late noughties, and my parents would frequently get something like this:

"Oh nice to meet you, when did you move here?"

immediately followed by

"Nice, and how long are you here for?"

This is exactly like asking a guest "how long are you planning to stay at our house?".

@harshad @[email protected] extremely frustrating. I keep getting the "Are you from Kerala?" when I am from Andhra Pradesh.

How the hell does it matter where someone is from? It's probably the most banal thing you could know about a person.
