I love ass, but i hate anal!
@maxleibman yes but i dont have 12 faces.

If you access corporate email on a personal device that can be unlocked with FaceID, you must change your face at least once every sixty days.

You may not reuse any of your most recent 12 faces.

#Mastoot update:

I’m doing a rewrite for Mastoot. Why?
1. I don’t quite satisfied with the current version of Mastoot.
2. I use Mac more than iPhone daily, and with Ivory for Mac, I realized that I can also build a decent Mac app using Mac Catalyst.
3. There're many good Mastodon apps now, so this time I can be more opinionated on design, choose features more carefully and implement them with high quality and performance.

A sneak peek 👀:

We've been hit by a massive DDoS attack. The site may not work as expected. We're working on mitigating the attack. Fastly are helping us. If in doubt, check status.mastodon.social for information.

Encrypted messaging app Signal will 'walk' out of the UK if the Online Safety Bill undermines encryption. We will not walk. We ask PM Sunak, will you block access to encryption, just like authoritarian Russia & Iran?

BTW: Both strategies are great to put pressure on the UK to NOT pass the Online Safety Bill - which is what we all want.

Dear Mr. Sunak, will you block access to encryption, just like Russia & Iran?

Tutanota: We will not 'walk out' of UK like Signal. Nor will we comply with any request to bypass our encryption.

@256 damn dude! Nostalgia.

As I’ve said, the Fediverse is much larger than duplicating Twitter. These kinds of academic communities rarely evolved on Twitter. Humanity’s brightest are setting up shop to move social networking to the next level.

How app changelogs should be vs. how app changelogs usually are.

When Twitter 3.0 gets released, the entire "For You" page will just be ads, chatbots, and "content".

You won't be seeing your friends.

You will be able to like and share, but your replies will be buried and unseen.

Tweeting will be like speaking into a chasm.

Kind of like how it is now—but more so.

Gradually, people will begin to notice that you can actually talk to your friends on that Mastodon service—so why not go there instead?

And why will people hate Twitter 3.0? Why do I know it will be an incredibly awful experience?

As it is, Twitter has been moving to a pay-to-play model for awhile. People have tolerated it because they can still talk to their friends.

With Elon Musk, the movement to pay-to-play has hastened.

But Elon has already burned bridges with advertisers and content producers, and for him to get them back on board he will have to do something drastic 😁
