1) 2025 was definitely the year of DanDaDan for me. I got into the series via the anime in 2024, decided to start on the manga this year, and it's safe to say I'll see this series through the end. Volume 22 comes out Jan 5 next year and all that.
2) I feel like my lists every year are padded with manga which kind of feels like cheating?? but I do read prose, and non-fiction, and also in English, they're just there somewhere. I also read and like modern tanka even though I'm not sure what it is about it I like exactly.
3) There are some here that are rereads, like 僕と君の大切な話 and 幸せのマチ etc. They're old favorites that I chose to revisit this year; they'll probably pop up again in some year's list in the future.

Summary: A major brick-and-mortar store sold an Apple Gift Card that Apple seemingly took offence to, and locked out my entire Apple ID, effectively bricking my devices and my iCloud Account, Apple Developer ID, and everything associated with it, and I have no recourse. I may not have gotten any work done today (again), but I did successfully remember to go pick up my personalized illustration collection that I ordered a while ago. I got to watch the artist draw the picture and sign my name in the book when I went to pick it up. A super cool experience that I've never got to do before!
I absolutely adore this illustrator and I'm so happy that I have so many amazing, whimsical illustrations collected in one single book now. It's so amazing. Human creativity is incredible.
