Duh. It’s OBVIOUSLY not a golden calf in Exod 32 or 1 Kgs 13. It’s much more analogous to Daniel 3
Thinking this morning about how at my first full time university, our LMS was an install of moodle shaped by an IT dept (and @shorterpearson.com ) to be what we needed. I think we’d be better off with that, instead of one, for profit , one size fits all LMS and tell profs to adapt.
This is the actual last step in the writing process
It’s really NOT that hard to be a decent human being (and a good Christian) and too many fail at it anyway.
But it AGAIN made me angry that the (totally justified, btw) first reaction to a Christian minister is discomfort at presumed rejection rather than acceptance.
She seemed to relax a lot when I later was talking about Pratchett’s brilliant engagement with trans issues 25+ years ago in Discworld (specifically with dwarves)
My son had a Star Wars celebration yesterday and invited several of his friends over. One is transitioning and I could tell was uncomfortable when I walked in from church in my “work” clothes (suit and tie).

A dear friend and former student (thanks to Hannah Curtis) invited me on her podcast to talk about my ministry. She has long been a fan, and it's always nice to hang out with people that think you're awesome...it's good for the spirit.

A Soulful Revolution
While visiting my mom today, the song playing over the speakers in the common area of this MEMORY CARE FACILITY was, "Forget You," by CeeLo Green. I can’t figure if that’s bad taste or right on the nose.

I am proud to announce that Good Faith Media has agreed to publish my next book: “Speaking of Israel and Palestine: A Primer for American Christians.”

It has only just entered the queue for publication so it will be a bit before it’s out. Watch this space.
