The moon was large and high - and over Screwfix!
Wintry drama, lakeside.
Night light.
Young oak, gold,
near dusk.
Behovely.
My retreat house opens Monday at 4pm, so spent a murky day in wonder at Fountains Abbey. The trees & wildlife were are magnificent as the Abbey ruins, all the better for being alive on a misty November day.

Among the ladder of chair legs
and curl of snake clad hassock,

Prayer.

Leicester Forest East Services - sunny in mid November and instead of nippy, I’m toasty in a light cardigan.

I remember when the M1 opened, these Services too & the great & good of Leicester regularly drove out for silver service dining while cars sped underneath in the Brave New World of fast travel.

A lovely day out today, too warm for autumn, but all the signs are here!
