You can follow the #HoosierMast hashtag on mastodon

Just click on the hashtagged word. Then in the upper right, click on the little plus person sign (meaning follow)- then all #HoosierMast posts will show up in your feed!!

Also if you are from #Indiana and I don't follow you, message me or reply to this and I will remedy it posthaste

The latest Mastodon update lets you follow hashtags. When you follow, posts with a tag appear in your timeline automatically.

Try following #Gardening to make posts about gardening appear in your timeline.

This can be REALLY useful for discovering interesting accounts.

To follow a hashtag:
1. Log in through your server's website
2. Search for hashtag
3. Click it to see its results
4. Click on 👤+ icon in top right (click again to unfollow)

Posts from followed tags are visible in the apps too.

A tip for NEW USERS from the bird site.

Please don't auto-crosspost from there to here. The conversation and posts are mainly disjointed and lack context.

If you do, please definitely don't cross-post your RT's. It's like, ugh. 😠

Tip for new Mastodon peeps: add a filter to get rid of RT's.

Settings>Filters> "RT @"
