I used to only listen to music one album as a whole, with the songs in the published order. Now I mostly listen to my streaming service's discovery queue, which is nice for sure because I don't know how else to find new music anymore, but man do I get bummed out when a song I love ends and I can hear in my head a phantom sound of the next song on the album starting but then in reality whatever song is next on the queue starts. It's always such a vibe killer.
