Our next game is Verminsteel!

You're a bird with a broadsword, kicking thousands of fascists so hard they fly into the sun

PLEASE go wishlist it, it'll make me really happy and help me stop low-key panicking and stuff: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4352280/Verminsteel/ #indiegame #indiedev #gamedev (boosts super appreciated)

Verminsteel on Steam

You're a bird with a broadsword, kicking thousands of fascists so hard they fly into the sun. Joined by a hoe-wielding badger, a mouse with a frying pan, and all the Molotovs you can chuck: You’ll resist occupation, defend the helpless, and push the Verminsteel back under the rock they crawled from.

@clarfonthey @eniko FWIW I got to the same "it can't short circuit though" conclusion without realising it was a shitpost, so you're not the only one
@screw_dog @eniko +1 on this. Using axial coordinates is *much* more convenient for most algorithmic uses than offset square grid. Square grid is still useful if you need to tightly pack data or if you need to represent in textures etc.

STOP USING AI, ADOPT A CAT INSTEAD

AI:

  • Doesn’t know what year it is
  • Uses insane amounts of electricity
  • Steals everything on the internet
  • Cannot be cuddled
  • Is not a cute kitty

Kitty:

  • Doesn’t know what year it is
  • Just needs treats and attention
  • Steals only your sadness
  • Can be cuddled
  • Is a cute kitty

@ghosttie thanks for letting me know. I just tried from an incognito tab with a spare email address and the whole flow worked correctly for me (new page, email confirmation, contact appears in the back end). There's also new sign-ups recently that managed to get through

I've definitely seen some unteliability on it in the past though, mostt likely it's something about your browser setup that it doesn't like? What OS/browser are you using?

Feel free to DM if you'd rather take this privately

Happy birthday to me! 🥳🎉 Please check out our gay fox girl Mario 3 game, people like it a lot and you might too: https://itch.io/s/152818/kitsune-tails-zero-birthday-sale

It's 25% off on itch and for one extra dollar you can bundle the prequel which has 36 SMB1-ish levels of its own and a cute little voice acted story

If you can ship a game in Unity, you can probably ship a game in any other proven engine out there. I think a lot of people out there don't realise quite how transferable their skills are but they really are.

And no, it doesn't make sense to switch engines mid project, and if you have a huge team, you're gonna struggle too, but for smaller teams and individuals, you can absolutely make that switch.

Let me give you some examples

There's some non-timelapsed video up here, to get a more detailed look at the gameplay https://youtu.be/23IptLZZw84?t=627

Hi #TurnBasedThursday! I'm making a tactical dungeon crawler / deckbuilder, inspired by Gloomhaven and Arkham Horror: The Card Game

I've just released a prototype on @itchio with about 90 minutes of gameplay. It's free to download & I'd love to hear what you think! https://foldedfox.itch.io/delvetoodeep-prototype

@dexillion thanks! It's weird I'm mostly getting feedback from people on Linux and Mac, despite only putting up a windows build, but cool that it works!
