One thing I miss about living in the suburbs was the sound of wind chimes as you walked around a neighborhood. It was almost guaranteed at least ONE house would have a wind chime out. At least there's YouTube

The Alienist by Caleb Carr scratched almost all the literary itches that make me fall in love with a book. The story's pacing was superb in spite of its long length, I liked (or grew to like) the entire cast of characters, and the ending—while a smidge disappointing—felt appropriate and fair. It's a solid 10 out of 10 for me. #AmReading
