Well this wonderful thing is finally done. The completion is bittersweet. It'll be the last Lego set I'll have worked on with my daughter for some time to come. Over the last year since we got this for her, the girl who loves Lego and D&D, she has become too old for Lego and now doesn't want them anymore. I had to finish this by myself. I've assured her it's no problem I felt the same way at a certain age too. Oof, it hits me hard. Both the aging and the death of yet another shared activity.
I have used Linux more or less daily for decades. But what I have never done consistently is use it as my daily driver desktop OS. Gaming has been my main concern. Well, thankfully Valve released the SteamDeck and that's no longer much of an issue. I have officially made the switch. So far the one thing I couldn't run is my document scanner that gets pulled out of a closet once or twice a year. So I spun up a VM of Tiny11 with nothing but the scanner software and drivers.
#linuxIn tomorrow's elections, do this.
