Me on Monday:

"That's it! I'm going analog. Touch grass. De-screen. I'm writing more in long hand. Do I even remember how to use cursive? I'm losing my humanity here and it has to stop!"

Me on Thursday:

"I need that second screen."

One thing sociology has taught me is that what seem to be unique characteristics of individuals or groups, are in reality responses to *unique conditions.*

It makes total sense for some now to rest on ideological justifications that have been embraced by victims of hate speech in the past.

Historians are a sociologist's best friend.

We can posit a condition or context and ask a historian how it played out in the past.

Me: How do everyday folks talk about and justify supporting a morally questionable strong man who threatens the democratic freedoms they hold dear?

ODU is hiring!

I'm on the search committee and the coordinator of our cybercriminology program.

Our ad is vague, so I put some potential research areas in the image.
