One thing sociology has taught me is that what seem to be unique characteristics of individuals or groups, are in reality responses to *unique conditions.*

It makes total sense for some now to rest on ideological justifications that have been embraced by victims of hate speech in the past.

Our ad is vague, so I put some potential research areas in the image.

GWU's Program on Extremism does yeoman's work on extremist elements in the US.

I see their program as adding a necessary theoretical and explanatory layer to the data points in the media and to the work done by DHS and FBI (the departments #Project2025 wants to abolish).

I love #Startalk. I burst out laughing in my office today, when I misheard how Neil Degrasse Tyson pronounced this scientist's name.

I thought her last name was counting n.....!!!!

Tyson was a little unsure of the pronunciation and had to ask her about it.

Some of Project 2025's proposals are insane. I suspect that many Americans are not aware of what a MAGA-led America would mean for them.

It's been a while since I thought about "woke." Is that a function of my disengaging from social media, or has the "woke fever" finally broken?

I did a quick pull of Google Trends data to see. Interest seems to be rebounding after a lull in late 2023.
