There is something dystopian about AR astronomy apps. Stellarium and friends are wonderful tools, but think about it this way:
We use an app to see the nights sky. That same sky most of us should be able to see un-aided. But we can’t, usually because of light pollution. So we use technology to simulate a pollution-free environment and feel awe.

Set a daily goal, get a reminder after a specified amount of time, or use a rolling goal over multiple days.
Active reminders are shown on the app badge.
