Hi, I named myself after a typo! How are you?

Bi aroace. Agender, any pronouns.
Digital image processing enthusiast. Just happy to be here!

大学で日本語を勉強しました。まだ上手じゃありませんが、頑張ります!

My toot history (blursed phrase): https://justmytoots.com/robotrecall@beige.party

I add alt text to all images to the best of my ability. In the rare case that I do not, it's almost certainly because I couldn't, not because I forgot.

I don’t have super strong feelings about people playing the wizard game. I’m a little disappointed that it’s so many people, but they literally don’t have to explain themselves to me. But I really don’t want to hear about their playthrough, and I absolutely don’t wanna watch it.

There are so many gaming channels on youtube that I could literally never watch them all anyway, so if I see the wizard game, I can safely weed that channel out of my recommendations. This is not activism, mind you. It’s not that grand. It’s personal comfort. Realistically speaking, I’ll never miss them, even though it’s been quite a lot of channels. I’d rather give someone else my attention.

Just finished playing The Case of the Golden Idol with friends. We're big fans of point and click adventure games and puzzle games in general. Between the three of us, we did it! We solved the game!

We used the recommended setting of highlighting clickable items. We accessed no hints. Having three people trying to tell each other coherent stories about what we thought must have happened was an incredibly powerful tool for both solving puzzles about who did what when, why, and how, and also for memory, to the point that we played it over the span of weeks and didn't struggle much from having a fairly long break right before the climax. This would probably be a good one for the rubber duck method if playing alone.

(The image is from the "Thank you for playing!" screen, which I have to tell you because including any further details would be massive spoilers.)

The portraiture of Ghanaian-American artist Otis Kwame Kye Quaicoe was just brought to my attention by @hairpik, whose #blackArt thread I don’t want to derail, which is why we’re here, but she deserves your attention. Please check her out!

I love this piece so much. Look! “Trinity, 2021.” The artsy link is absolutely worth a visit, because it lets you zoom way in for a closer look at all the little details. I’m so fascinated by the mixture of textures, implied and real. The thick, actually textured paint of the sky, compared to the impression of texture of her hat, for instance.

It’s a beautiful portrait. I love it.

I’m not sure that I am, but thank you!

Incredible! Hudson Mohawke, musician behind the hit sex song Cbat, shows acute entrepreneurial prowess on youtube by both pinning a comment and adding a card linking to another song, Cry Sugar, advertising it as “better for sex”.

Having had a bit of a listen, I would immediately concur.

I wish that you will enjoy this amazing photograph of a DEC Professional 350 from old-computers dot com, linked below. It looks like a wildlife photographer got the perfect shot of a majestic lion at rest in the sun, possibly in heaven.

In conceiving the Professional 300 series, DEC designers decided that new machines must be able to perform several tasks at once, apply the same user interface, communicate efficiently and use the same software...

I’ve never seen a point of absolute mutual culture shock that resulted in such pleasant, un-fraught conversations as The Giant Square European Pillow Upset. If you’re unaware of any such pillow situation, this may interest you.

So it turns out that in many parts of Europe, with some notable exceptions such as the UK and Sweden (if I’m understanding correctly), a normal pillow is an enormous, lightly stuffed square thing. Not like a little decorative one. Much bigger and meant for sleeping.

If you’re thinking, “Yeah, that’s just called a pillow?? What are you on about?” then welcome to the other side of this confusion. I’m from the US. I’ve never seen a giant square bed pillow in person in my life. My sleeping pillows are rectangular. You might know them as hotel style pillows.

Comparative pillow pictures, square vs rectangular, if you’re still uncertain what I’m talking about. Could not find photographer credit for the first. The second is from styleyoursenses dot com.

Hey @MastodonBOT ! I couldn’t help but notice your profile looks like a “we have found malware on your PC” scam to try to get people to click links they should not.

You’ve been favoriting my posts without boosting, which would be totally normal and nice of you, if it didn’t come across like an attempt to fly under the radar by making sure no one else sees that kind of activity.

If I’ve made a terrible mistake, please do correct me! If not, well, I only hope no one gets spooked and clicks that link.
