Legacy energy guy now in transition. Ice curler and energy podcast listener.
“Who’s Cheatin’ Who” 🎶. Written by Jerry Hayes and originally performed by Charly McClain in 1980. Best intro music around for an energy podcast. Nicely done @chrisnelder
Super fun to meet the talented orator of @TransitionShow @chrisnelder in person last pm at a fun gathering in SFO. If not following, subscribing to his podcast content your missing out!
@chrisnelder @TransitionShow loved the upbeat and optimistic content of podcast 203. Lucky for me a low geek rating 😀. I have a 28 yr son who at times believes we are doomed as a 🌎 as to climate issues and has a “let’s just throw in the towel” attitude. I’m going to share you show with him. Keep up good work.
@chrisnelder @TransitionShow that time, when you have 🍻 with another listener @WilliamsForOPPD and you both are tracking what “geek factor” means 😀
That one time @chrisnelder had a guest (not just any guest) change his mind on a subject related to #energytransition. Fun listen - podcast 197. @JigarShah you are just so damn practical! Even mentioned Nebraska in the interview 👍
@chrisnelder love the intro 🎶 on @TransitionShow #191. I said to myself “this will be good”.
Had my first resi #solar sales pitch for my 🏠 last pm. Good delivery by a guy that was younger then my oldest son. More soon.
https://open.substack.com/pub/leach/p/january-27th?r=1r5arl&utm_medium=ios&utm_campaign=post At a little before 2pm on January 24th, Alberta’s industrial solar power facilities fed more electricity onto the grid than the province’s coal units for the first time. And, for much of the next hour, Alberta used more solar power than coal power.
January 27th

For most of an hour on January 24th, Alberta's electricity grid saw more supply from solar than from coal. So, this week, you only get one historic graph.

Energy Charts
@TransitionShow as heard on episode #67. “One of these days we need to get a bunch of our guests together - live - to simply listen to this banter about energy transition”. I would listen to that.
