Time to rolling the dice again on mass death.

As Europe roasts, millions are facing deadly temperatures in the global south. People are collapsing in the streets. Children, the elderly, the poor — they’re dying.

This is what 1.6°C of warming looks like. Every month now is a dice roll. If it lands on 6? Wet bulb heat. No air con? Death in 6 hours.

Let’s be clear:
This isn’t a natural disaster.
It’s a crime scene.

Fossil fuel execs, politicians, and a liberal class that looked the other way — they’ve created this. Enabled this. And now billions are trapped in a roulette of death. Waiting for their number to come up.

If you’re still shrugging? Still silent?

Then you’re helping turn up the heat.

From Hungary to the UK, defenders of democracy are being surveilled, arrested, or silenced. My friends have been imprisoned for up to 5 years for organising peaceful protest . But we’re not backing down.

I'm here with the European Civic Forum to launch a major report on civic freedoms and join a debate with policymakers, activists and MEPs on what real protection for civil society could look like — including early warning systems, new legal shields, and solidarity hubs.
