A wizard appears. He looks grumpy.
I was the guy behind eggdrop, paramiko, the sidekick ssh client, kestrel, and many smaller projects. I've been in 3 unsuccessful bands and I'm one of the 23 people who finished reading "Gravity's Rainbow". But I'm primarily known for making a dumb Fibonacci joke online in 2011.

Alien: What did you say your galaxy is called?
Me: The Milky Way Galaxy
Universal translator: The Milky Milk Milk
Alien: Um okaaaay. And what's "milk"?
Me: It's a fluid we secrete
Alien: ... I'm sorry I think the translator is faulty
Me: We drink it sometimes
the people representing apple at these EU hearings should be fired. they're going to get apple in real trouble
i forget how this crossed my tabs, but it's great: the problem with discarding material reality
https://deadsimpletech.com/blog/material_girl
it explains a lot about the completely batshit way many people behave lately
The common ideological kernel of all of this behaviour is a deeply embedded trope in anglosphere societies: a contempt for materiality, or the idea that the material world that we eat, sleep, drink, fuck and die in is somehow beneath the notice or the care of sufficiently important people.
I've been bedridden for the last 6 months, unable to work as I try to get a surgeon and insurance lined up for my operation to let me work again.
If you could send a couple dollars, it'd really help. Time isn't on my side here, and waiting is very expensive.
i might believe systemd was good if the systemd cheerleaders weren't working so hard to convince me
well that and fixing the binary logs
update: i found a website that will convert "tex" files into pdf.
it uses that "academic font" that makes me want to climb the walls and scream... ... but at least i can read it
someone invented a hobby 8-bit arch that i want to check out, but their only documentation is an "ods" file (?) and a "tex" file...
i've never used "latex" (we had word processors by the time i used computers) so the tex file just looks like noise to me.
