I’m grateful that whenever I talk with extended friends groups and I say something like “am I just old and out of touch like my grumpy grandfather was, or are things really bad now?” some 22 year old will say “no way everyone I know hates everything and stuff is really bad now”, so I guess that’s kind of a grim validation that I’m not old and out of touch, I’m just old.
