So, Congress… what would you say you do here?

Two reminders for tonight:

1) War only benefits oligarchs, despots, and defense contractors.

2) There are more rumors than truth in breaking news events. Be cautious sharing unverified information.

Stay safe everyone. Hope for peace. Vote for peace.

@petergleick Of all of Trump's awful traits. Him being so damn gullible is the worst one. He'll jump on any ride someone offers him while thinking he is so smart.
Congrats to everyone who voted for the guy because they thought he was anti-war. You complete fucking morons.
Impeachment now.

Whatever happens, remember

The #Republican Party is GARBAGE

This is not about the merits of Iran’s nuclear program. No president has the authority to bomb another country that does not pose an imminent threat to the US without the approval of Congress. This is an unambiguous impeachable offense.
Two things to consider regarding Trump’s remarks and the US war with Iran: •It’s currently 4am in Tehran. Accurate visual confirmations of damage from the bombings will not be available for a while. •This war is existential to the Iranian regime, so the idea they’ll just surrender is a pipe dream.

Without Congressional action, the man who imagines the world revolves arround him has now brought the United States into war with Iran.

He did it. The U.S. is at war with Iran.

Last week, I sat down with Craig Federighi for 30 minutes to talk about the iPad and iPadOS 26.

We covered a lot: the iPad's multitasking journey, being inspired by macOS, handling iPad criticisms over the years and…what is the essence of the iPad in 2025.

I'm proud of this one.

Here's my story: https://www.macstories.net/stories/interview-craig-federighi-opens-up-about-ipados-its-multitasking-journey-and-the-ipads-essence/

@viticci classic federicci.

@viticci

Excellent coverage and I appreciated the demo videos 👏

@viticci You got some great thoughts out of Federighi. Well done!
@viticci
Great story! Can’t wait for the fall.
@viticci Great story. Congratulations 👍
@viticci You should be. Well done.
@viticci the conclusion of this piece is genuinely beautiful. Excellent stuff Federico.
@viticci Great piece. Still not happy they’re making iPad a worse tablet to be a better desktop.
@viticci Easily the best interview I’ve read this year, and 30 minutes well-spent for Craig.
@viticci This amazing! Excellent interview. :)
@viticci Fantastic and thoughtful article! I liked that instead of just giving the interview as a dialogue, it was a personal reminiscence and review interspersed with Federighi’s answers and your reflections. So well done!
@viticci Great article as always.
In your criticizing article about what iPadOS couldn’t do, you mentioned **You cannot play multiple audio streams at the same time.**
iPadOS 26 can't still play multiple audio/video streams. Am I right? :(
@sdtaheri @viticci I'd also be pessimistically curious as to if using an app that utilizes the camera gets frozen out when it isn't in full screen mode. It makes live streaming and broadcasting with iPad a complete non-starter and removes it from the running when it comes to being a true computer replacement. Apple needs to fully walk the walk if they want to go this route (and at that point we return to the "what even is the point of iPadOS? Just let us boot macOS on it" discussion)
@viticci Thank you for this! I really appreciate your thoughtful takes on the iPad & iPadOS. Since you’ve been working with it, a couple of questions: 1) Any chance Slide Over might come back during the betas in some form? I’ll miss that feature, and since they’ve given us a Split Screen variety, I have to wonder. 2) How does the new windowing system handle rotating between portrait & landscape orientations? I use the former as much or more than the latter, so I’m curious. Thanks!
@viticci I enjoyed your article. A question I’ve not seen answered anywhere, how do games work with the new multitasking? Can they be presented in a smaller window or are they locked to full screen?
