@nf3xn @zombywoof @chris yeah, it does. Each time the US does something ridiculous and voted for by very large numbers of people — maybe not a popular majority but still significant — my opinion of it goes down. Electing Trump and the ensuing 4 years was the worst of the lot.
I am definitely not alone in this view.
I also know there are lots of good, sane people in the USA. But people’s view of the country as a whole definitely gets harmed by the crazies.
@zeruch sorry, no you didn’t and should have been clearer in my reply 😊
I wasn’t ‘correcting’ you, rather providing context for some others who have replied and re-tooted this.
@zeruch social democracy is not socialism.
@CBCNews this is shocking and I’m dumbfounded as to how it could be manslaughter.
A summary definition of manslaughter:
“Unlike murder, death in manslaughter is not planned, and there is no intent to kill.”
140 wounds from a physical attack cannot possibly be accidental.

I visited a #FoodBank yesterday (as part of a Report for Work, not thankfully as a client)
It was decorated with Charles III images and bunting.
Nothing says Britain 2023 than a Food Bank celebrating a Billionaire with a Gold Hat that we're all paying for.
