When searching on #mastadon, does it search all the different instances/servers? Or just the one you’re currently on? The instances/servers is the thing that’s confusing me the most about this new platform for me.

Just made my Mastadon account this evening after everything that’s been happening with #Twitter.

My job revolves around #socialmedia, so I wanted to be “in the know” of alternative platforms out there and this one has been talked about a lot!
