Yesterday I met the 2022 U.S. Nobel Prize Winners in Chemistry, Physics, and Economic Sciences. They've created some of the most exciting breakthroughs in human understanding and have expanded our sense of possibility.

Congratulations, Dr. Clauser, Dr. Bertozzi, and Dr. Diamond.

This strategy generates in vivo secreted proteomes for each cell type, which we compare in exercise and sedentary conditions to find exercise-regulated cell type-protein pairs. In other words, we both measure a secreted protein fold change and also trace its cell-type of origin.
Our general strategy to express cre-inducible, ER-restricted TurboID in a cell-type selective manner using AAV delivery is shown below. We used one week of treadmill running for the exercise condition and enriched biotinylated proteins from plasma.

Our goal: train you to be independent scientists that can pursue careers where your chemistry creates impact.

Our interdisciplinary department houses several core research areas shown below.

I will also be sharing this work via a poster and poster highlight talk at the virtual @SFGlycobiology annual meeting next week.
