I am a legal academic, very interested in lawyers, ethics, and regulation. I like to do mixed methods empirical research. So I’m interested in sociology, social psych, behavioural economics and corporate governance more than philosophical approaches to ethics. I am also interested in access to justice, dispute resolution, and the interfaces with technology and design.

My main research is on the Post Office Scandal https://richardmoorhead.substack.com/

Moving to another server so don’t be surprised if I show up as a new follower @richardmoorhead

Hello 🌍, hello 🦣.

I am Cédric, an independent data visualization designer, Consultant and instructor for engaging and effective graphical storytelling 👋

Over the last years, I have shared lots of open-source #dataviz, mostly generated in #rstats with #ggplot2.

I am looking forward to interacting with you and sharing the knowledge here on Mastodon as well!

This Guardian article on #UKHomeOffice recruitment for asylum decision-makers is extremely troubling:

The report of use of Lonely Planet Guides, rather than Home Office Country Policy and Information Notes ('CPIN') will be a further blow to public confidence in an already broken asylum-system.

Here is the link to my 2020 report analysing 31 Home Office
CPIN (and other) reports on Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression:

Revealed: supermarket staff recruited to make ‘life and death’ asylum decisions

‘It’s a total disaster,’ says whistleblower as Home Office brings in novice workers to clear backlog

Mastodon habits I'm trying to lock in, rather than revert to my Twitter habits:

1) use CWs liberally
2) when threading, set first post to "public" and the rest to "not listed"
3) don't forget the description text when posting images (had to work on that in Twitter too)
4) throw in hashtags like it was Tumblr or Instagram when you want to reach beyond your followers
5) pin and visit hashtags to find more people
6) boost a lot

I’ve forgotten how to make porridge.

Greetings, world.

Let’s give this thing a go.

Funny :) If you want to "verify" your account on Mastodon, type : verified : (without the spaces) after typing your display name when editing your profile. You will then be  👌😂
Also, #decisionmaking #institutionallogics #cello (a learner, my poor wife suffers!) once upon a time a #poet and would like to find a way back to that
If anyone can explain how to more easily find #antitrust / #competitionlaw / #academictwitter / #legaltwitter people on here, I’d be grateful!
