Deborah PickettLoss.jpg memes are the opposite of funny. They horrify me. They demonstrate a profound disregard for the mental health of people who’ve had miscarriages. The common defence of them being a mocking of the original cartoonist doesn’t hold sway with me.
I don’t want to hear counteropinions from people unless they have (had) a uterus or have parented a miscarried child.
@futzle I completely agree with this. Someone at work had framed this stupid meme. I mentioned to a colleague that I found it uncomfortable and she stormed off to HR and promptly got it removed. Big thanks to her for being braver than me, even though she was a new employee!
