Greg Palast: Tesla stays afloat as a seller of greenhouse gas offsets. *So, my dear green friends, when you buy a Tesla, you're not reducing your carbon footprint by a quarter inch, because Musk is selling your good intentions to General Motors so they can pollute more.*

Elon Musk: Pollution Salesman

Elon Musk is not in the car business; he is a pollution salesman.

@VeroniqueB99 And just a reminder, people are profiting from the concentration camps.

"...as of July 2023, 90.8 percent of people detained in ICE custody each day are held in detention facilities owned or operated by private prison corporations."

Unchecked Growth: Private Prison Corporations and Immigration Detention, Three Years Into the Biden Administration

Three years into the Biden administration, the number of people held in ICE detention continues to grow, and private prison companies hold an increasingly tight grip on the mass immigration detention system.

@PirateFrog If you can get past the way he pronounces Yggdrasil, this was a pretty good video, too:

Cisgender 101!

This one has been going around for a long time from what I understand, but it's still super relevant. 😁

@jasmine some of my friends are cisgender. I don't understand it, but I still respect them. Cis rights are human rights.

@jasmine

Thanks for the info, but I am still a bit fuzzy on the details...

How does a cisgender couple decide who is the spellcaster and who is the blacksmith?
And do they both get swords when they marry?

@jasmine "and is used to differentiate between cisgender and normal people"
This
@RadioAddition @jasmine I remember imagining a group of people that seemed very strange to me that would be hard to tell apart from normal people, then realizing that there was already a name for that kind of people β€” cis β€” and that I wasn't one of them.
@jasmine
Fact: Many cisgender people take hormones, especially during puberty, in order to better appear as their chosen gender!
@jasmine Nope. cis people don't exist. Sorry,
@jasmine im ngl im kinda baked i dont know if this is a parody or not XD
@jasmine
> most cisgender people do not grow out of being cis

@jasmine can't believe those cis-genders live out there where the kids are can't they be straight somewhere else. Escpecially not in front of the children
@jasmine 'it is used to differentiate between cisgender and normal' lolol <3
@jasmine the second slide is outdated, unfortunately. Angela Merkel isn't Germany's chancellor anymore.
@jasmine this is amazing, thanks for the representation <3
@jasmine "or even cis scum"
@jasmine takes notes interesting, interesting
@jasmine these are fantastic -- thank you for sharing them, I had not seen them before!
