...Prince of Persia creator Jordan Mechner even considered the port a "brand new game". ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

Also the second installment in the series, Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame, received an SNES version in 1996. ๐Ÿงญ

This one was ported by French software publisher Titus Software. On SNES, Prince of Persia 2 has some missing features and lacks several stages, including the last one. This version even contains glitches, overall being considered an inferior port. ๐Ÿ‘Ž

...additional levels, and the original levels that remained are harder and had some extra rooms or different routes. Also, there are additional boss fights, some of which are not the typical sword fighters or involve not only sword fighting but dodging as well. โš”๏ธ

Initially for the Japanese computer ports, Arsys Software also redesigned the Prince's appearance, introducing the classic turban-and-vest look. ๐Ÿ‘ณโ€โ™€๏ธ

After the original Apple II release, Prince of Persia was ported to a wide range of platforms, among them an SNES version published by Konami in 1992. ๐Ÿ›•

Aside from graphic and sound enhancements, developer Arsys Software added new enemies, traps and music to the SNES port. Also the player was given two instead of one hour to rescue the Princess like in all the other versions of the game. โณ

If you've ever watched someone play kaizo mario and thought it looked cool but also like you could never do it, I highly recommend trying out this particular hack. It is by far the friendliest kaizo hack I've ever seen, and I think anyone who is just generically "pretty good at video games" can get pretty far in it and feel good about it.

That said it's not an instructional hack that'll tell you how to do every trick, so you might need to check out a video of someone playing it if you get stuck to see what you're supposed to do.

@repeatro I remember cheesing the bosses at the Arena in SB1's single-player by chasing them down and bombing myself repeatedly while invincible from spawning in or from power-ups.

@prokyonid

The cool thing is, you still remember this as an unforgettable memory. It's the same for me with other games where I could defeat bosses by using glitches.

@repeatro I absolutely love that series!
