Been mentally unwell this whole week (like a cold, nothing too serious) and AAA I hope I feel better again. There's so much work to do before I have a nice good long break not doing comics

@shingworks yepppp it's already the day before my bday and they still havent asked me about it yet LMAO it's petty to think of bdays like this cos I normally dont but it's just confronting?? @googie Yeah it really sucks! I came to Australia for this person and now I am thinking like maybe it would have been better if I went to NZ instead BUT THAT'S LIKE a cruel thought (and I dont regret Aus either). I'm slowly trying to trim back. Hopefully w/ new job and new life ahead I can start forging a different and new network of friends
I'm still going to organise an outing for the other one's bday when it comes. But I've to think about redirecting my efforts now cos they are no longer wanted, I guess.
They are still my buds. I love them. But when they don't think I deserve a token gesture of friendship it's time for me to pack up. Friendship is mutual, and I can't be doing work for a shop that's closed.
Thank god I still have good family (both biological and found) surrounding me.
It bothers me more than usual cos 1 of them is someone who I still consider one of my best friends (and to them, I was, until recently), for nearly a decade now. Things change, people move on and make new friends, but to not acknowledge our old friendship, esp when both of us are living 2 hrs away from each other...like damb son. I still call my Neopets bff who lives w/ a 9 hour time difference for her bday, and she does too for me. I can't imagine not doing that.
