@ezrapeace I'm not surprised - ideas like that tend to float around for a while before the right writer comes along. And I think there are similar estate issues holding up a Lee Miller biopic (which is one of those projects I'd love to tackle someday).
@ezrapeace Just thinking about a Capa/Taro biopic makes me happy. (And a little bit jealous that it didn't occur to me, but that doesn't matter because at least it occurred to *someone.* That's all I need.)
@everythingafter I know that anxiety well - I only started writing again a couple of years ago after burning out and taking a three-year break. Writerly friends have been an absolute lifesaver!
@Haraea I'll do the same. The time zones might always match up, but I'll join in whenever I can.
@FTTern You're absolutely right, and it gets easier every time. I'll be better as soon as I find something to distract myself with. (Figuring out the missing third act of the *other* story I'm working on should do the trick. 😀)
@Haraea I was thinking the same thing! I'd definitely be up for the occasional writing sprint.
@Chixiepixie Hopefully! I've already started making notes on potential changes, since I'm suddenly *very* aware of the problems.
@joereddington That's definitely part of it. But it also makes the story feel "real" for the first time. Someone other than me is going to read it, and judge it. (Which... is the point. But still.)
@Chixiepixie Ugh. Same. But I'd hoped this one was going to be different. 😉

I somehow managed to make it through the entire process of writing and editing my current novel without any of the usual despair or doubt or just hating the story in general... until just now.

In related news: five minutes ago, I sent the manuscript to the last beta reader.
