Professional web slinger since the Web 1.0 days.
Been telling PHP what to do and how to do it for the grand majority of it.
Tried a bunch others, love exploring new tech, but PHP is where I’m happiest on the web.
@grmpyprogrammer …. Is that a commentary on the more expensive items dollar stores sell now or how bigger box stores are really shooting through bottom of the barrel these days..

On Friday afternoon, I launched a new service built off the back of ColdPhusion, my custom framework.

We hot swapped it in place of the older .Net Core service expecting to have to roll it back once we collected some logs and usage statistics.

Turns out, didn’t need to.

5 days later, 0 pod restarts, 0 emails about problems, no fatal, error, or even warning logs in grafana, and delivers faster results too.

Couldn’t be happier

@ellisgl yeah and with Trenchbroom right there ready to use basically
@ellisgl last post is still from 2019, has there been any news since?

@ellisgl man I used to use QuArK quite a bit in my old Q2 modding days

A new version coming out is wild to me

@Crell @mwop @ramsey we are of a similar mind about this. All the mutual same
@mwop @ramsey what I like about BitWarden is that if I wanted too, I could self host the server
@bobmagicii it’s not even that shiny or new. But it’s not even the newbies that are getting on my nerves, after all, we’ve all been there. It’s the “I’ve been using this for five minutes so I’m going to write a gigantic thread as an experienced veteran. Bet y’all didn’t know you could do {CoreBasicFeature_03}” hoping to gleam some kind of clout, because that’s how they got it on twitter crowd that is
Next 👏 topic 👏 please 🙏 we’re already here

In my timeline is still a lot of people ON mastodon trying to convince everyone ON mastodon what mastodon is and about decentralization, boosting each other a thousand times over

Imagine if on Twitter it was 80% people just talking about what Twitter is and championing centralization, and everyone retweeting that a million times over each
