I was a #LastPass customer until 3-4 years ago. One thing that always irked me was that my data was on somebody else's platform.

I know some folks have indicated issues with it, but I switched to Enpass at the time. The chief benefit is you choose where to sync, and access requires a passcode. I sync to a private Nextcloud instance.

I've used it on Linux, Windows, Android, and iOS without issues. Highly recommend it. Take control of your security.

@mwop @ramsey what I like about BitWarden is that if I wanted too, I could self host the server

@redacted @mwop @ramsey I use BitWarden too, for the same reason. I don't currently self host, but knowing I can is a form of insurance.

I also trust OSS app security more, just in general.

@Crell @mwop @ramsey we are of a similar mind about this. All the mutual same
@mwop that's why I set up a local @passbolt instance. It always felt weird to use an external service to manage my secrets.
@mwop Went to Enpass something like 7 years ago and have never looked back. They've come a long way, and it's surprising they don't get more attention in reviews.
