LRT: 100% a pitfall of federation is that it's really easy for all the shitheads and people who should know better to congregate.

That being said, it also is really easy to know that they're all on one instance and block it from everywhere.

@curieuxqueen IIRC as long as that federation allows out-of-server follows, you can paste their URL into your search bar and follow them.

It's less intuitive than Twitter but it works.
