It should matter very little to us whether some philosopher or some revolutionary or some theologian agrees or disagrees with us; we should be more concerned with actually knowing what we believe. Most grasps for great thinkers, and agree with them, all to avoid thinking.
In order to even begin to have a true understanding of life, one must begin from a position that accepts that not all problems have a solution; many are problems which are meant to be endured, rather than overcome.

Our personalities are sculpted by the moments that refused us our desires.
Remember: not everything is a learning experience. In fact, most things aren't. The idea all aspects of life have a lesson, a reason, a meaning is an inane one.

"[if the blue collar worker of the] 48% who do vote were united with the 75% [of the blue collar workers] who don't vote, there would be a large, American Labor Party, something that every democratic country has, but we do not."

"[What we have] is actually a one party system with two wings. The only difference between the two wings is that Democrats tend to be conservative and Republicans tend to be reactionary."
