Anonymizer

Anonymizer is an instrument, with which you can change your IP address, access a website from another country, avoid a ban and stay undetected.

These are the compliant ISPs which didn't allow access:
- Jio
- VI (Vodafone Idea)
- Airtel
I'm sure others have also followed the #ObeyInAdvance philosophy.

Vikatan website is not accessible from the multiple ISPs I've tried. Reason seems to be this offending cartoon. More info: https://m.thewire.in/article/media/vikatan-website-cartoon-press-freedom Laughable, as there are anonymizers to bypass such blocks. #MastIndia #Modia #Fascism @mastodonindians
'Extra-Constitutional', 'Fascist Tendency': Govt's 'Block' on Vikatan Website Sparks Outrage

Critics argue that the alleged involvement of a BJP leader in initiating the block also shows the troubling overlap between political interests and state power.

Everything is going to be OK. None of this is real. Commerce, dieting, celebrities, Amazon, the concept of good and evil. There is only energy and entropy. Nothing we do has any more or less value than the gentle bee or a blade of grass in the morning sunlight. All of the world's of love and pain and hope and horror exist only in our own perceptions, one day to be swept away into oblivion. The very best human being holds no more value to the infinite void than the very worst. Our atrocities are our own. All victories, pyrrhic. Take comfort in the fact that we don't matter. We are matter. All one as we shift in and out of one molecular state to another. I eat the bread. I am the bread. As I was once a field of wheat and also the scuttering mouse. From nothingness we emerged, and to nothingness we shall return. And that, is why I don't think I should have to pay these parking fines, Your Honour.

Dr. Parakala Prabhakar has an interesting take on the recent surprise electoral victories of BJP / NDA. The more you hear such things, the more you're convinced that the Election Commission of India is a sham. https://thewire.in/government/karan-thapar-parakala-prabhakar-election-data-maharashtra-surge-voter-turnout

#Samsung denies its workers the right to form a union in its factory in #Chennai, India. The elected local government is of no help either, taking sides with the corporate instead. Here's an informative interview with the leader of CITU, the trade union in question: https://frontline.thehindu.com/news/samsung-workers-strike-sriperumbudur-protest-citu-tamil-nadu-secretary-a-soundararajan-interview-labour-rights/article68736030.ece #MastIndia
‘Samsung Workers Strike Not Just About Wages But About Collective Bargaining Rights’: A. Soundararajan, Tamil Nadu CITU General Secretary

A. Soundararajan, Tamil Nadu CITU General Secretary, says that the main demand of the striking workers is recognition of the Samsung India Workers Union, adding that the strike would be called off if that happens. He states that the strike is about workers’ constitutional right to form associations under Article 19(1): it was not just about wages but about collective bargaining rights. He also criticised the Tamil Nadu government for declaring the strike “illegal” and said that the agreement signed bore signatures of “representatives of workmen” who neither participated in the strike nor enrolled in the union.
