He states that the strike is about workers’ constitutional right to form associations under Article 19(1): it was not just about wages but about collective bargaining rights. He also criticised the Tamil Nadu government for declaring the strike “illegal” and said that the agreement signed bore signatures of “representatives of workmen” who neither participated in the strike nor enrolled in the union.
