I have a confession to make: I have never used Minitest in the seven years I've been a professional programmer. Lured by the promise of speed and wide adoption, I decided to try Minitest. Then I hit an unexpected roadblock.

I do recommend sending questions in to them. None were answered in this update, but we'll see if they get addressed in future updates.

About the postponed Q&A from Ruby Central, I wonder if it could happen asynchronously (through GitHub issues maybe?)
It could (in no particular order):
- Lower the tension for those asking/answering questions
- Group/link Qs and As
- Give everyone way more time to reflect before sending their words
- Increase opportunities for follow-up questions and clarifications (clarity is the main goal I think!)
- Make it accessible to folks from any timezone (I can't think at all at, let's say, 3AM)

I’ve spent 15 years of my life working on Bundler. When I introduce myself, people say “oh, the Bundler guy?”, and I am forced to agree. I didn’t come up with the original idea for Bundler (that was Yehuda). I also didn’t work on the first six months worth of prototypes. That was all Carl and Yehuda together, back when “Carlhuda” was a super-prolific author of Ruby libraries, including most of the work to modularize Rails for version 3.
I'm still flabbergasted by the whole Ruby Central / RubyGems situation.
I'd like to hear from Shopify about their alleged pressure to remove specific contributors from the RubyGems team.
Instead I see their CEO talk about "divisive clowns".
What a sad, terrible mess.
