...to where my 9-year-old granddaughter and I were taking pictures (she has her own camera). I calmly told her to quickly walk to the truck and announced to my wife that a bear was coming. She got the grandson and herself in the truck. I jumped into the driver's seat after making sure everyone in our party was inside. The bear strolled past the back of the truck and started up the hill. A park ranger, who I hadn't realized was behind us and the truck, shot an airhorn at the bear to coax it along. The bear just turned its head and looked at the ranger with an look of, "That's all ya got?" I had jumped out of the truck and stood next to the open driver's side door and took several shots. Then it turned its head and continued up the hill.

Driving around Yellowstone National Park, came across a meadow with three bears (two black, on brown). Getting a good shot of all three was not going to happen. And only one was close enough to get a decent photograph. Was up the hill from the meadow and had some trees near. Then the bear decided to leave the meadow and headed up the hill…

Gray's Coors Tavern is historic in Pueblo, Colorado. It is the home of the Slopper (a burger drenched in Pueblo Green Chili... description doesn't sound as wonderful as the dish really is. But it was featured on the Food Network). And, yes, I know the owner. Nice guy, lovely tavern.

It's definitely getting warmer. This antelope is shedding his winter coat. I wanted to go brush his coat so he'd look good for the photo since he was posing so well. But he wasn't having any of it.
