It's been a chaotic few weeks, but I'm finally back in a spot where I can sit down and play some things again.

I'm mostly still working on my first full campaign of Europa Universalis V, but I'm also looking forward to Destiny 2: Renegades. I know it's hot to hate on that game but I did like the story they told with Edge of Fate. I'm interested to see what they do next.

I finally sat down and worked through some of the issues I was having with drivers on this system and the base stations for my #VR headset. When I was finished with that, I spent some gleeful time with some #llamasoft games. In this case, Moose Life and Polybius.

I really enjoyed both of these. I'm currently of the opinion that Polybius might be one of the best VR games made to date.

Just a quick thank you to everyone that tuned in, and donated this weekend during #extralife2025! I've been doing this now for more than 10 years, and I've enjoyed myself every time, even if the recovery from 24 straight hours takes a bit longer now.

Pleased to say, that by the end, we were able to raise 206% of our donation goal for this year! I couldn't be happier about the result, or more thankful to everyone for their generosity.

I'm glad I decided to get up early and go through my entire setup again, because that took me roughly 12 hours to do.

I had trouble getting some alerts to work, so I even went as far as trying to use python to write some scripts, but that's beyond my ability to figure out quickly. What I have will work, it's just slow.

My run for #extralife2025 starts in 25 hours from now! This will be my 11th annual run as a member of the #Giantbomb team. I didn't imagine back then I'd be doing this for a decade, but here we are!

One of the games we'll be looking at during the run this year is the 2017 sci-fi stealth/action game "Echo" from Ultra Ultra.

I keep trying with Hades 2 and it keeps pushing me away. This run my main attack suddenly stopped working, would freeze everything in slow motion, and prevent me using anything but the cast circle. It would also prevent me from interacting with anything once the encounter was completed.

There was no description in the boons of anything afflicting me, so it effectively disabled my attack button for the rest of the run. I keep trying with this thing, but I just don't like it.

Finally went and tracked down the issues from the various redirects on other instances. One of course was gone, and I'll miss the Octodon, but I understand why they made their decision.

This isn't a drastic change, but I at least feel good knowing everything should be as I had intended it to be from the beginning.

If you've been curious about Soulframe, now is a good time to jump in and try it out. The game is still in a pre-alpha state, but the systems are starting to come together, and they're already doing a good job with their core questlines.

The music is also already really good, with songs to fit each fable. This latest story is about addiction and a bear tending a garden.
