The RAiD Operating Alliance was announced publicly for the first time β€” a global governance body of ARDC, SURF, SDSC, and the Digital Research Alliance of Canada.

Other highlights: SURF's Netherlands service launching Q3 2026, 605 RAiDs minted in Australia/NZ, and growing US and Canadian pilots.

RAiD uses ROR as the source of truth for organisation information. These regular updates from the ROR team directly benefit RAiD users as well.

Oak Ridge National Laboratory is piloting RAiD to track research projects from inception - not just the papers and patents at the end.

Their open-source tool ACORN aims to reduce duplication, surface collaboration opportunities, and give sponsors, policymakers, and job-seekers a clearer picture of what's happening at one of the world's largest federally funded labs.
