One thing I really like about fedi culture is the habit of not boosting toots with images that don't include alternative text.
It's piss easy to add and it's been available on the
Other Place for some time, so if you're posting Over There you can do it there too.
In #Tusky here's where to find your image alternative text settings:
1. Add your pic
2. Press the item that has an A and a check mark
3. Press Set Caption
4. Write a *good* description
