representation is important. thank you unicode team.

Nanodjango 0.8 is out, adding async view and ASGI support. Now you can write async single file scripts that look like Flask or FastAPI, but with all #django features like models, auth, admin etc.

Used with pipx or uv run it's great for sharing examples and prototypes, and it has a command to convert it into a full structured project if it needs to grow.

Just realised Tagulous is over 12 years old now. Yikes.

Finally released django-tagulous v2.0, my flexible tagging and categorisation library for #django

This release fixes bugs and supports up to Django 5.1.

Current/future friends! Since I had a project fall through, I have availability for a project THIS month.

I specialize in strategy and design for friendly tech and nonprofit brands. This looks like:

πŸ’œ Defining the brand personality mission, values, target audience

✏️ Impactful, meaningful copy

🎨 A relevant visual design with all the digital and print assets

πŸ’» Gimmick-free, effective marketing site

https://github.com/radiac/nanodjango by @radiac is a neat idea: hide all of the β€œcomplexity” of #Django, but still have access to all of its features. I especially like the built-in Django NInja support for building a quick API.

It feels similar to some general themes that I keep thinking about to provide sensible defaults to encourage quicker prototyping of Django web apps.

πŸ‘ more πŸ‘ developers πŸ‘ need πŸ‘ to πŸ‘ hear πŸ‘ this

I can count on one hand the number of my clients over the past couple of years who haven't either over-architected for scale or were unnecessarily concerned about it (prior to coming to me for strategic advice, of course πŸ˜‰).

You don't need to understand Distributional Little's Law to figure this out, it's obvious with primary school level math.
