Little Italy, Ottawa guy. I mostly like riding my bike around. Also
hacking code, brewing beer, roasting coffee, making
music. Hugging cats. The usual stuff.

Still looking for the best iron ore to use to refine the steel I'll
need to fabricate the razor that I'll eventually use to shave the yak...

the #otrain to the airport has "new train smell". i love it.

pulling into the station at #yow made me feel like i live in a real city.

the real magic of google maps is: how do they know which street name i'm most interested in seeing, so that they can *not display it no matter what*? i've tried fooling it by feigning disinterest by moving the target street to the corner of the view, but still, *the algorithm knows*.
replying to my #ottbike self here: just rode to osgoode on the link pathway this afternoon, and it's in great shape. hard-packed, no puddles or mud to speak of. good riding!
hi #ottbike folks: has anyone ridden the osgoode link pathway in the last few days? specifically, would love to get a sense of whether all this rain has turned it into a muddy mess, or if it's well-packed/well-drained enough to be reasonably passable even with recent weather. any info appreciated!
you know you're a certain age when any floyd-steinberg-dithered images evoke nostalgia.
true confession: my heavy-ass #konasutra bike rides better with panniers fully-loaded than it does without. it just feels so /solid/. how does /that/ happen?

#commonlisp folk: do you LOOP, or do you ITERATE? https://iterate.common-lisp.dev/

why one or the other?

iterate, the extensible iteration construct

the fact that #commonlisp's sort function is destructive surprises me every time i use it.
#ottbike riding down somerset through chinatown on saturday night at cars-looking-for-parking o'clock is remarkably fun. that's some high-engagement cycling.
