Noon in Stockholm, Sweden. The days are definitely getting longer already, trust me; day by day. We will be on a winning streak for quite some time. We celebrated this fact by bicycling out to Norra Djurgården, and watched the sun fighting the frost.

Old Town, Stockholm, Sweden, as seen from the north side of the island of Södermalm. You can even see this year's Christmas tree on the waterfront. The weather was beautiful and we had +5°C. The snow of the last days is gone. Just right for a bicycle tour round town. I saw lots of people sitting outside in the sun having coffee. Joy and pleasure all over the place.

I visited Skogskyrkogården (Stockholm, Sweden) with my bicycle again. I love the vibe of this place, especially in November. It reminds me to value every moment of life I am just experiencing. I consider this a good practice.

The bicycle path in front of Karlsbergs Castle was closed and I had to take a detour on the other side of the water. Wow! Although I have passed Karlsbergs Castle quite often, today it looked especially beautiful with all the November rain clouds hanging over it. Stockholm in November is not bad at all.

Oh, what type of Brompton is this? someone asked with a big smile pointing at the logo on the saddle. It's a new prototype secretly going under the name of G++, I respond with a grin. We are still working on the folding mechanism, though. But we got the saddle right, I guess. The rest is still work in progress. :-)

Some are more stubborn than others. This tree does not seem to want to give up. Standing straight in the autumn winds and showing character. I admire it; and I try to learn from it.

Today I was out again with the Kona Sutra. Only 170 km missing to last year's bicycling distance of 6000 km.

As usual, the worst moment is to get going. Looking out the window, a part of my brain hesitates and wants my body to stay lazy sitting on the couch and staring at an empty cup of coffee. But once I am on my way with my bicycle, it feels alright. Actually, it feels fantastic to be out next to the Baltic Sea on a foggy day in November.

Friday afternoon bicycling in November in Stockholm, Sweden. We visited the Thiel Gallery in the Royal Djurgården. They celebrated their centennial with an exhibition about "The Sweet Life" in the beginning of the 20th century. Outside the gallery I spotted this colourful bush. After the visit we continued with the sweet life bicycling back to town with the magnificent setting sun ahead of us. Temperatures are still up to 12°C.

I often get asked by my Austrian friends: How is it to live in Stockholm in the dark season? My answer is that I use the available daylight as best as I can. Between 11 and 2 there is usually plenty of light outside. Light makes colours glow, which makes me, the photographer, happy. Today, I made a roundtrip with my Kona Sutra to Kallhäll and back.

I took out my Kona Sutra for a short Monday tour. The weather forecast for today was lousy, so I had a short 20 km tour in mind. However, the actual weather was sunny and mild, so I ended up bicycling 50 km in beautiful autumn weather in the outskirts of Stockholm, Sweden. Lucky me!
