Did not expect to see a Zenith Healthview CRT TV in the waiting room today.
@themaritimegirl @CatgirlEva Considering how bad the crack looks in the first picture with a black background, the second picture looks perfectly usable!

Holy phuq, I HATE AI with vengeance

OK, I accept the seller doesn’t really know what he has. It’s not a Cassette Deck. It’s not Audio Elcaset

He wants $7,000, but was too damn lazy to make the effort to do any work

The description is utter AI bullshit word salad. It says absolutely nothing 😬😬

We have red. I repeat, we have red!

I brought home something that I didn't have room for, and probably shouldn't have. A Zenith colour all-tube 26" TV from the mid-1960s. Unfortunately the CRT is pretty weak, although its waking up as I use it.

Will need a bunch of work, but it's damn impressive it produces such a stable picture and sound given it appears to be completely untouched inside.

Model# 8322-6
Chassis# 25MC36

@jenny753 @vwestlife It looks like the switch is also on the FVH-839, and there's an ebay ad for the manual with more photos. https://www.ebay.com/itm/358090306173

It's used for the "Tape end indicator" light. So it's like a very basic version of a time remaining counter, but probably uses a similar method of comparing reel table speeds.

@vwestlife @riley there were models with a standard counter, but that had a time remain feature. It worked by comparing the speeds of the two reel tables, but it needed to know the length of tape used. T60 and T80 are extremely odd values though
@themaritimegirl Also wasn't there a brown one as well? Or was it maybe a different model from this chart?

@themaritimegirl I just figured the sunlight was messing with the colour in the image, but you're right - it's definitely pale yellow.

I didn't noticed how yellowed yours was at first, but the difference under the handset is substantial!

@themaritimegirl That gives me a wave of nostalgia. We had that exact phone when I was a kid, in the same yellowy gold colour with the rotary dial. All I have is this blurry still from a video taken in 1995.
