Just after Halloween every year, the local Barred owls start targeting my ducks. As soon as that happens, I start leaving them food a few times a week and they leave the live birds alone for the rest of the winter. Mostly they get ducks I’ve harvested and frozen during spring and summer, they’ll also take thawed feeder rodents.
