People talk about social media company recommendations like that's the only way anyone could solve the discoverability problem on the internet and its many hosting sites.

Like there aren't millions of ways of approaching it, like the algorithms couldn't be open, or even belong to us. Like we couldn't collaborate on and even subscribe to discovery algorithms that would be more meaningful for us than maximizing viewing time.
